    How to play the game?

    Option 1: Partner Game
Each player chooses a family member, partner or friend to play the card game with. The players sit across from each other. One person shuffles all the cards and reads the first card aloud. Both players answer the question drawn and write down their own answers on the answer sheet. All cards are numbered. So write your answer on the line provided on the answer sheet. For the „right or wrong“ cards, there are resolutions at the end of the card game. Play through the game in one or more rounds to find out all the answers from your teammates and about you.

Option 2: Online Group Play via Zoom
We regularly offer group card game events via Zoom for people who may not have family members or friends to play the card game together. Just play the game with a few strangers and learn more about yourself along the way. Find out about future game dates soon and register for a suitable date. Players are then randomly divided into groups of two or more, depending on the number of participants. The game might also be played in an open round to stimulate group discussions.

Fun and informative conversations are guaranteed.

Option 3: Party Game to play at home
Play the questions in an open format. This game is also suitable for an odd number of players or if the game should lead to an open group discussion. Each player takes turns and draws or chooses a card. All players answer the question and read their own answers aloud. The answers can also be guessed by other players for increased fun.

The game consists of 123 cards. Don’t let the number of cards in the game intimidate you. The game is designed to be played in multiple rounds. You can also look for specific questions in advance that you are curious to know the answers to from your fellow players and ask those questions in one game round, to stimulate targeted conversations.

The estimated playtime with 2 people is approx. 120 minutes. With a larger number of players, the average time is one hour per person if the game is played in one go. That means with a group of 6 people, you have to expect a playtime of approx. 6 hours if you play the game in one go. Requirements for the card game:

Testimonial „Let´s play the game of death“
    from Petra Maria Mebes

The question cards which Daniela Eichberger & Marc Zinkernagel created and designed, are a wonderful door opener to deal with the subject of death in everyday life.

The questions cover a wide range of death-related topics and invite you to consider your own choices about the death journey as well as those of your relatives. The neutral questioning of the cards provides insight into the choices relating to your partner, family, friends, and acquaintances. I played the game with people from different age groups, 26-60 years and it was a very interesting evening. Just wow!

The question cards definitely serve as an ice breaker into this taboo topic. We all have to deal with death & dying eventually, so why not do it now and do it playfully?

The questions contained in the cards were discussed with ease and there was a lively exchange of experiences. The experience of the older game players, who had to deal with the death of their parents helped the younger game players to get an insight into the administrative side of dealing with death as well as the grief journey.

We had loving conversations in every game round, as well as some enlightenment moments. The most important thing was that we could all laugh together. I can really recommend everyone to buy the “Let´s play the game of death” card game. It is a wonderful catalyst to sit together and chat about death and dying. A big thank you to Daniela & Marc for creating this wonderful game and bringing it to market. I am convinced that it will help many people in the world to deal with the death journey and remove their fear of death.
